Description
The commune's history is linked to the Château de Donzy. Its origins can be traced back to the 11th century with Lord Calvus. But it was the 12th and 13th centuries that marked the apogee of the castle, with the creation of the keep and the settlements. Built on a square plan, it had three large towers. Today's church, with its southern influence, features a Romanesque choir with round-arched openings. At the transept crossing, the bell tower rests on four huge granite pillars, two of which are crowned with simple capitals.
